Our Covid-19 Response
Small Acts for Sustainability is a social impact organization. We work with marginalized communities living in remote parts of Karnataka, India. Many members of our communities are daily wage earners and due to COVID-19 they are left vulnerable with limited access to food and sanitary products. With your generous support we will provide grocery hampers and sanitary care kits while following the guidelines of social distancing in the region. We know that many of the girls and women are made even more vulnerable during the lockdown. Our sanitary care packets will include information about how girls or women can report domestic and sexual violence. In addition, our local community partners have been working tirelessly to provide education around COVID-19 and have been distributing masks and grocery hampers. We wish to continue to support our communities in need during these very uncertain times. Our project Empower Women Sanitary Solutions invites you to virtually join teams across the globe in making cloth masks for medical professionals, caregivers and the vulnerable. Our partners are sewing and donating masks in their communities, reappropriating fabric and resources from our reusable cotton sanitary pad production.
We send our continued love and gratitude to medical staff and all essential workers. Thank you to all our supporters for your generosity. We pray for your health, your family’s health and thank you for your dedication. Be safe everyone!
